Why not kill two birds with one stone, and use empty office blocks as DC and keep LPT alive.

(Floor loading, sub floor and overhead height limit, power budget, diesel fallback issues, social acceptance, price compared to rural, this is humour not serious, KDDI otemachi not withstanding. Things were different then)
