We then realised the same problem exists for almost every civic service: ward offices, police stations, electricity boards, water supply. Citizens have no easy way to know which office handles their area.
Enter an address, get all relevant civic bodies for that location. Currently live for Bengaluru only.
Tech stack: Go backend, React frontend. We load GeoJSON boundary files into memory and do point-in-polygon queries.
The main bottleneck to expanding is data. Government boundary data is scattered, inconsistent, and often requires RTI requests. We've included an RTI template in the repo for anyone who wants to help add their city.
Would love feedback on: - Is the UI/UX clear? - Ideas for sourcing boundary data at scale - The API design for adding cities (see CONTRIBUTING.md)
Happy to answer questions about navigating Indian bureaucracy or the technical implementation.
