Ask HN: is Archive.is a Kremlin Asset?

Surely attempts to block archive.is are more likely to be Kremlin based as that would stop dissemination of journalistic information in favour of more easily manipulated YouTube and Tiktok video.
damnitbuilds•28m ago
No.

Is https://news.ycombinator.com a Kremlin asset, for the suppression of information by the mod-supported downvoting of facts people do not like ?

vintagedave•22m ago
Why would it be? There’s no argument or info. Looks like a provocative question.

Surely an archive site is fairly neutral. The worst you can argue is bypassing copyright, but also avoiding server overload (‘hugs of death’) which we’ve all seen it frequently used to avoid. Is that naïve? Is there some key info or background that this post completely omits?
