Have you tried Squad? It shares DNA with Battlefield as it grew out of an old BF2 mod (Project Reality) and feels like what BF might be today if they'd gone a different path. It's a lot more realistic, can be slow at times and feel like a management sim due to the emphasis on teamwork but it has one-shot kills and the possibility for that old school "unbalanced" madness modern AAA devs seem to hate. It's also a lot easier to get into/less of a masochistic experience than Arma.. and it has a really good Star Wars mod if you're into that. I think you might enjoy it!
