Isn't just living in a society inherently being mind controlled? The whole idea of Socialization [0] is a form of mind control, and obviously schooling is a harsh implementation of it. Everything in our society controls how we see and interact with the world.

I think "control" is a far too fatalistic description. Can people be manipulated, of course. Some more easily than others, sure. But... "astra inclinant, sed non obligant"
