- Understand how products are ranked and reordered
What you can do with it:
- See the raw payload, not just the UI
- Track carousel positions for any query
- Spot patterns like provider, cluster IDs, merchant tags
- Export or copy JSON for analysis
Things we still don’t know:
- How ChatGPT reorders products - is it a mix of reviews/ratings and source position?
- What p1 / p3 actually mean
- How consistent this is across markets/categories
If you work in ecommerce SEO, this helps you test queries across your product catalog. Check whether your products appear for real user queries (from Google Search Console). If they do, see where they rank, which competitors show up, and which product providers are used.
