Show HN: A Jazz Translations Album with Suno

RichardHesketh•2w ago
Nice. Will it land on Apple Music at some point?
ersinesen•2w ago
Yes, shortly I hope.
Rochus•2w ago
What are "Jazz Translations"?

Has there been an audio original which was uploaded, or were there overdups over the Suno track, or additional mastering? It sounds better (both musically and also the sound quality) than what Suno v5 can do from my experience.

Ok, the sound of the piano in track 2 is pretty typical for Suno, and there is some aliasing on the hi-hat, but the overall quality is still better than what Suno directly generates.

ersinesen•2w ago
Every, track is based on an original vocal song (made also with Suno v5) in a different genre: Turkish folk and pop. Then, they are translated to jazz (also by Suno v5) by incorporating some local instruments and keeping loyalty to the original sentiment of the song.

After Suno, I use another AI for mastering.

Rochus•2w ago
The mastering is amazing; it sounds much better than what the Suno built-in mastering can do (I even hear less of the typical Suno artifacts); can you share what AI mastering you are using?
ersinesen•2w ago
I use DistroKid's Mixea. But before that I adjust loudness of each song manually with Audacity and keep it in a range to be consistent as a whole.
Rochus•2w ago
Thanks for the hint. Just tried Mixea and the results sounds surprisingly good. Here is what I got without any adjustments:

- original: http://rochus-keller.ch/suno_2025_2/suno_EsotericFunkA_Cover...

- mastered: http://rochus-keller.ch/suno_2025_2/Mixea_MediumNeutral_suno...

The frequency range was sligtly extended (about 1000Hz). I just listened to it by headphones and will also compare it with real speakers.
