His crime? Filming them.
This is going to keep happening.
Over, and over, and over again, until ICE is disbanded and those involved are held accountable. When that happens (and how high the casualty number gets) is up to the American people.
I have a 2 year old daughter.
With every fibre of my being I’m not spending a cent on any US business, person, company.
Texas and Florida have WAY more illegals than Minnesota [1], why are ICE not terrorizing citizens there?
This federal violence and murder is not about illegals. Anyone that thinks it is is not paying attention.

source is here: https://files.catbox.moe/sp296e.mp4 but it is VERY slow.
The winning move here is continued nonviolent opposition, but it only takes one spark to start a fire then who knows what happens

No, there’s people that love what ICE is doing, people that hate it, people who try and stop it, and the rest of us who look on in horror at the trainwreck and collapse happening in front of us…
But I can’t think of a single group of people who are ignoring it. Other than maybe for a lack of perceived other options and to keep from going insane.
Myself? I’m basically a coward. I have two young children. I don’t want to go protest ICE and get killed by one of these wannabe gestapos. I’m in a real state of fear for my children and the world they’re going to grow up in, but I literally don’t know what else I can do. Maybe I’ll help join the campaign if a democratic candidate this year and help them get elected.
But I’m not ignoring it. I can’t think of anyone who is.

It’s not because I don’t think anyone should see what’s happening, or that I’m ignoring it.
It’s because… how do I put this delicately? Maybe I’ll just come out with it:
It’s because HN fucking sucks at discussing anything emotional like this. (So does nearly every other place of online discourse, but I hate to see just how bad it gets here.)
Nuance is completely thrown away. People immediately dial up the rhetoric to infinity. There’s no room for anyone to take a breath and approach what they’re seeing with a clear head.
It’s very apparent that the posters here are mostly doom scrollers. By the time we’re taking about it here we’ve already heard enough rhetoric from others already discussing how bad things are, so we take that as the new baseline, and thus this newest event is now nuclear holocaust levels of bad, and America is now worse than Nazi Germany and the ICE agents are worse than the SS.
Since people are already angry before stories like this even break, they come in with their anger already showing and ready to throw all rationality out the window.
The conversation here just sucks when discussing emotional topics like these (note I didn’t say political topics, I’m saying emotional ones. I don’t even believe this is a matter of politics any more.)
So yeah, I flag it. Not because of the topic, but because of the tanking quality of discussion that happens.

I come here -because- this is the one bit of social media where I still am able to interact with the folks who are infavor of this.
Consider that HN doesn't "suck" for this, it's just a place where it's easy to see the very real authoritarian bend of comfortable professionals who are smart but also in favor of, say, summary execution of people for protesting. I find it useful for gauging the political weather.

It is basically equivalent to "First They Came".
First they came for the Immigrants And I did not speak out Because they were not Immigrants (hell they were stealing jobs so fck them)
Then they came for the US citizens who were Socialist/Leftists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Socialist/Leftists (hell they dare protest the government so f
ck them)so and so forth..
