HN screwed up your second submission as well. You should email the mods, for some reason they're rewriting that second URL to something else.
EDIT: It appears that every lww.com submission gets rewritten to the same URL since September 2024. Earlier ones seem to be correct. It's probably a weird interaction between the site and HN's URL rewriting scheme (usually based on canonical links). But the URL you've linked has a canonical link and it's the same URL you provided.

Yeah thanks, I suspected it was some sort of HN rewrite. Tbh I'm gonna leave it at that, if anybody else wants to submit the one that works that's fine.
But I'll see if tagging @dang or @tomhow works...
