I’m experimenting with an extremely minimal donation page — no accounts, no text, no explanation, just a fixed $1 payment via well-known processors.
The idea was to remove all friction and all persuasion, and see what happens.
In practice, almost nobody converts.
I’m curious how the HN community sees this: – Is trust the missing piece? – Does minimalism backfire in payments? – Or do people need context, even for $1?
