The sham marriages took place around the country, including in Jacksonville, as well as in New York, Connecticut, and Nevada. ”

Many of the asian massage parlors have the same scam. They find lonely men and hook them up with girls overstaying their work visa or girls that were smuggled in. Bonus if it's a tech or government worker they can pillow talk secrets from. They have to pay back a large amount of money to the people that smuggled them in. Just anecdotally they get mad if a repeat customer just wants a massage.
