Hi HN — wanted to share something I’ve been building.
I made a tool that lets you search podcast transcripts *by speaker*, so you can follow specific people across different shows.
You can look up quotes, filter by name (or the other way around), and see everything a person has said — complete with timestamps and a read-along transcript UI. There’s also the option to subscribe to *RSS feeds for individuals*, instead of entire podcasts.
I started this because I wanted to find episodes where certain speakers talked about topics I care about (longevity research, in my case). Keyword searches like “rapamycin” surfaced plenty of results — just rarely from the people I actually wanted to hear from.
I can see this being useful for journalists, researchers, hobbyists, or anyone interested in tracking what specific voices are saying across the podcast ecosystem.
Right now it’s a small proof of concept — indexing ~10 podcasts while I build out the pipeline and UI. Happy to hear feedback, ideas, or use cases I haven’t thought of.
