I built SignalResume, a free ATS-first resume and job application toolkit.
Motivation was personal. I’m an international student and community college grad with under a 3.6 GPA. I sent around 300 applications and got 0 interviews. After mentors from Meta and Amazon helped me rebuild my resume using a more ATS-first approach, my results flipped, under 100 applications and interviews from Google, OpenAI, Stripe, TikTok, and IBM.
A lot of resume tools optimize for pretty templates and subscriptions. Many “AI resume” tools also hallucinate, inventing numbers, impact, or responsibilities, which is risky if you actually have to defend it in interviews. I wanted something ATS-first and grounded.
What it includes
ATS-first resume builder using one proven template
AI bullet improver, revise per entry or “revise all”, skips Education and Skills
Cover letter generator from resume plus job description, with validation and quality checks
Job fit evaluator (LLM ATS review), score, gaps, improvements, includes verbatim quotes as evidence, and explicitly does not rewrite bullets
I built the LLM system personally with ATS constraints in mind to reduce hallucinated fluff and keep suggestions grounded in user inputs.

Feedback welcome, especially on ATS edge cases, formatting issues, or places where the “grounded” constraint is still too loose.
