Very well said. As alluded to in TFA, I believe that future version of infrastructure-as-code monitoring systems will explicitly define the scope of what the assigned AI ops agent should handle on its own, and when it should escalate to humans.

The bigger question for me is whether these escalation engineers would ever need to open a terminal session themselves, or whether they'd do better taking a managerial stance and directing the AI agent on which course of action to take.
