I had a strange experience in a Vancouver grocery store recently.

A clerk appeared to recognize me immediately, glanced at a screen behind the counter, and then approached me.

It made me start wondering how much retail surveillance might already exist in ordinary stores. I wrote about my experience at the above url. Has anyone experienced this before?
