A good read, surprising to see Hume at the fore of a piece which really only needed to reach for Rumsfeld and the unknown unknowns.

Some hold there will be no midterms, and the war will justify that. I'm less sure they could pull that off, but I'm loathe to say a piece about not overstating your inductive reasoning hasn't made a case.

However I think it very unlikely what follows would be called a victory, by anyone with an eye to the future.
