Not even PBS exhibits object permanence when it comes to Trump. What is wrong with these reporters? Alternatively, how was Trump the first one to exploit a hole or blind spot that US-style freedom of the press apparently always had?

Yep, most of Project 2025 is now implemented. I do wonder if Trump even knows what its goals are though. The main guy behind it, Russell Vought, is a Christian nationalist and believes that America’s constitution should be replaced by a different one that is based on Christianity.
