I built Internet Intro to surface cool, handmade, and experimental sites that search engines and social feeds usually miss. It’s a beta, free to use, and focused on simple discovery.

How it started

This grew out of my personal link stash and a lot of manual searching. There is no crawling, scraping, or automation. I add and tag entries by hand. I currently have thousands queued and I am working through descriptions and tags.

Status and monetization

- Work in progress: I add sites and fix bugs every day

- Monetization: I am testing locally hosted affiliate banners to help cover costs. There are no external network scripts or tracking. I’m still experimenting with layouts so the banners do not hurt the user experience

Roadmap

Once the main bugs are fixed and core features stabilize, I plan to add roughly 20 new sites per day, not counting future user submissions.
