Show HN: Edit scanned PDFs like Photoshop

https://editscanpdf.com

I built a small tool that lets you edit scanned PDFs directly.

Most PDF editors only work if the PDF already has selectable text. But once it's a scanned document everything becomes an image.

The usual workflow ends up being:

convert to Word fix formatting convert back to PDF

It's slow and messy.

So I made a tool that lets you select and move content directly in scanned PDFs, similar to how you would edit layers in Photoshop.

Still early, but curious to hear feedback from people who deal with scanned documents.

Yes, there's a free version available to try.

Happy to hear any feedback.

If the pdf is literally being uploaded there is a massive security concern.

Good question.

The PDFs are only processed temporarily for editing. Files are not stored permanently and are automatically deleted after processing.

The goal of the tool is simply to let users quickly modify scanned PDFs (like moving text or images around) without installing heavy software.

That said, privacy is important and I'm still improving the handling of uploaded files. Appreciate the feedback.
