The really interesting part about GPT's involvement begins at pp. 33-37 where Vice Chancellor Will discusses "Project X", an internal task force formed by Krafton "at ChatGPT's suggestion" to scheme towards the termination of Subnautica's founders. ChatGPT responded by preparing a "Response Strategy to a 'No-Deal' Scenario" including "pressure and leverage package" and an "implementation roadmap by scenario". Eventually, it was all just a pretext, but Krafton fired the three founders on the sole ground that the founders intended a premature release of Subnautica 2. All of this was motivated apparently by the 9-figure payday that the founders stood to gain by the successful release. The court rejected Krafton's arguments and noted trial testimony acknowledging key chat messages had been deleted.
