We built Eat App to give independent restaurants and hospitality groups the same guest management infrastructure that large hotel chains have, without the enterprise price tag or six-month implementation.
Most restaurants we talked to were losing guests simply because they had no memory. A repeat guest would show up and staff had no idea who they were or what they liked. Bookings came in through five different places and lived nowhere useful.
The core is an online booking engine, a real-time visual floor plan, and a guest database that builds automatically over time. WhatsApp handles the communication side. We added a loyalty suite and AI-assisted tools on top of that.
The interesting technical piece was building the WhatsApp integration through the Business API in a way that feels conversational rather than robotic for guests.
Still a lot of rough edges — would love to hear thoughts from anyone running or building for restaurants.
