"Commoditized intelligence" is the ultimate control mechanism, since the entire creative output of humanity could be legally reduced to a chatbot. It's the next iteration of censorship, and debanking, deanonymization. First deciding what you can say or think, deciding what you can buy, down to the arbitrary carbon cost associated with your purchase, then unmasking all quiet dissent and raising the cost of all thought and expression to total silence and "assumed consent" with the politically dominant mode, and finally, deciding what's true and monopolizing "knowledge" to where no one is even allowed to participate.

Part of the recent goalpoast shitting has been a sleight of hand to continually redefine down the notion of what agi is, so that if idiots agree that it's generally "just as good" as your average idiot, then it's "agi" and then to extrapolate back out to the original goal of having an "intelligence so smart that you should always defer to it", the god agi with infallible omniscience.

What ai purveyors would like to do is what they say, control the entire job market, mostly as a control mechanism.
