This seems like a dumb question given how ubiquitous it is, but what would you use it for if it wasn't practically required to operate in modern society? What things provide the most value to you?

1. News aggregation. No editorial board to decide what to know and not know; no pretty faces to color my information (No TV)
2. Streaming audio, classical music from wonderful public stations. In particular, WQXR, KUSC (Now Classical California) and WBJC, Baltimore top my list.
3. Finding graphics for my mostly GIMP homemade memes and mashups.
4. Free (off copyright) classical music scores. Mostly at IMSLP with nag blocker extensions in Firefox.
5. FOSS downloads.
Conversely:
Zero online processing (especially my photos) except when absolutely necessary (youtube transcripts) and as little sharing as possible with the internet copy machine and LLM infinite information sink at work.
