We usually blame TikTok or Instagram, etc for shrinking our attention spans and thus shortening our sentences, but I wonder if we’re about to see a reversal driven by AI.
While humans are trending toward brevity, the LLMs we use to 'polish' our emails and speeches often default to a more formal, slightly wordier structure. We might end up in a strange loop where technology first forced us to be brief for the algorithm, but now technology is lengthening our sentences back out through automated 'professionalism.'

I dont think a shorter sentences in book from 1930 compared to 1400 can be explained by tiktok.
