Title: Can I disable all data collection from my vehicle?
> it will also limit or disable certain functionality in the vehicle
So not really a panacea.
> For non-Canadian vehicles, you may reach out to Rivian Service to request that we disable the eSIM card in the vehicle through a service appointment.
Not even really "allow" unless you're in Canada (in which case you're annoyed about the inferior range in winter).

Not a panacea for for convenience—the goal was not retaining functionality, the appeal is that it is a modern car that is private. Something that a some people really want. (https://www.mozillafoundation.org/en/privacynotincluded/cate...)
