This was a perfect way to welcome these students to the future where they can expect to be frequently frustrated annoyed and disappointed by screw ups that shouldn't have happened all because some jackass wanted to be lazy, greedy, or both and thought they'd save themselves some time/money by unnecessarily forcing an incompetent AI on a bunch of people they don't care about. From the most important milestones of their lives to the most mundane parts of their daily routines there'll be endless opportunities for AI to cause problems for them.
