This is so stupid. AMD should just make Vivado OSS. They'd more than make up for any loss in software licensing revenue in increased chip sales, and general goodwill. Instead, they just pissed off every Linux user and hobbyist (and future professional user of their stack) and sent them looking for alternatives.
