At what point do people stop paying expensive consulting firms for the privilege to receive AI-generated advice? At this point, might as well call Sam the homeless hobo living beside the dump behind the Wendy's and invite him to advice the CXOs/Board.
P.S. - In a former life, Sam was a BSD (Big Swinging Dick) on WallStreetBets. He's more qualified than AI in providing actionable advice to CXOs.

Consulting has never been about the advice. As I understand it, it's about the prestige of the network that delivers the advice.

It's more about either putting the blame on an external party who are the "experts", and big4 can't be wrong. And if things go well, it's due to the signing person greatness.

i believe theyre just third party rubber stamps for CEOs

I believe they also usefully cross-pollinate advice between different CEOs about how to make themselves and their shareholders richer. They can suggest something that worked for a different company.

You are paying a fall guy to come in and gather data or implement something you want to do but don't have a ton of evidence for. That way if shit goes south you can blame them and if it succeeds you get the credit.
Their entire job is more related to corporate politics than prestige. Maybe it was in the past.

Point is, Sam the hobo could be a fairly cheap scapegoat. No premium either.

"Why did you hire some hobo from behind a Wendy's for corporate consulting?"
