Where'd Codex Go?

I just clicked the "Update" button in the Mac Codex app, and the app quit and deleted itself. I went to download it from the download page, and it downloads a copy of the ChatGTP app.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this OpenAI unifying things?

This is expected behavior; the Codex app has been rebranded as the ChatGPT app.

I think Open AI merged codex and the ChatGPT app. This happened to me as well but still dont see the "new" version after the update which is odd.
