Show HN: Webround - an API-first e-commerce platform

https://webround.com/en
1•LucaSiviero•1h ago
Hi, I'm Luca, from Italy and I've spent the last two years building Webround: an API-first e-commerce platform. It started as a different project because I wanted to make my portfolio website editable without writing code and keeping the freedom to build any layout. But, while doing so, things evolved and the idea of making it a Headless platform for e-commerces started growing. That's when I went all-in and fired myself from my previous job and spent countless hours building (and re-building) it. You have a lot of freedom here: - You can no-code your website with the drag & drop editor and host it. - You can build custom React components in the very same editor, straight from the browser, installing any NPM package and using Tailwind. You also have access to an integrated SDK for e-commerce functions (like cart management, user auth sessions, checkout start, etc.) - You can leverage the public APIs documented at https://docs.webround.com to build virtually anything: integrations, custom apps, headless storefronts, etc. - You can connect your Stripe account to collect payments - You can use the editor to build visual documents and export them as images or pdfs. There are many things I've done to make it reliable, scalable and to give developers a lot of power. If you want to get a more detailed overview on why I built it, here's a video where you can also see my big face: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJnfTxUMKvU One last note: every feature is basically free until you want to host your website, while the e-commerce APIs give you strong restrictions if you're on the free plan (although you can try everything). If you need, I can activate a subscription for you without any problem, or you can self-serve with a free 14-day trial. Thank you very much if you decide to try the platform out and if you want to have a conversation, share thoughts, or whatever, you can contact me directly, I'll be more than happy to talk to you.
