ASK HN: What role do humans play in your organization in an AI era?

2•dimamik•52m ago
The topic might sound very off, but recently, the more AI advances, the more “hype” it gets in different organizations, the more questions I'm starting to have. Since all of us are working in different fields, our internal experiences might differ. And I want to create a place for us to share these experiences.

In particular, I'm interested in:

   - Has the place you work in established any AI-driven development workflows? If yes, what's the place of a developer there?

   - How are teams shaped now? How are these teams managed? How does this differ from the pre-AI era?

   - Were you adopting AI together with your team? Or maybe your team formed post-AI era, and all of you have different AI experiences? If that's the case, how do you navigate this process?

   - Do you endorse https://tombedor.dev/human-attention-and-human-effort?

   - How are you talking to your leadership about AI?

   - If you're fully into AI, where and when does human interaction happen?

   - How (and if?) your team learns from each other? Have you observed any trends?

   - How are you dealing with the review bottlenecks? When and how is the human currently involved in the review process?

And afterward, I want to discuss how this might change in the future? What can we do to improve the parts that are not ideal?
