the fact is what you say depends on who you are if you a Jensen Huang, China is the second biggest market, if not the biggest, for GPUs. but selling NVidia GPUs to China is prohibited by US and China government, which forces Chinese chip makers and AI companies to find their own way. this is definitely a big threat to his business. on the other hand, if you are Sam Altman or Dario. if Chinese AI companies get as much computation resource as they do, with the much lower price of electricity and human labor, they would surpass them for sure.
