Show HN: Book Studio – Turn PDFs into a private reading library

https://github.com/mym0404/book-studio-template
1•mj_studio•54m ago
I’ve been converting PDF books into web documents for my own reading. Splitting them into chapters, searching for specific passages, and adding highlights and notes felt much more convenient than using a standard PDF viewer. I organized this setup into a template called Book Studio so others can use it too.

Built on Fumadocs, it provides a modern, docs-style reading experience.

It includes an agent skill that imports PDFs as chapter-based MDX, along with search, highlights, notes, and reading-position tracking.

Authentication is handled with passkeys.

You can deploy your own copy from the template using Vercel and Neon. If you’ve wanted to turn PDFs into a personal reading environment, give it a try.
