Ask HN: Reading and watching suggestions for future scenarios for AI?

2•cung•54m ago
It is quite clear that AI is massively affecting everything around us. I am looking for any recommendations on books, videos or any other content that revolves around future scenarios on where to road with AI will lead to.

I meant to rewatch Her (2013) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1798709 because it shows an office worker who does work at a computer but the computer is all AI (with voice). It organizes his files, gives suggestions, kind of also does his work. Then he falls in love. We're close to having these capabilities. Good/interesting ending.

> It is quite clear that AI is massively affecting everything around us.

Is it? It is affecting our work, sure. But almost nothing outside of that has changed. In my "real" life, we're still doing the same thing. People tend to ignore AI, and everyone keeps on living the same life.

It could depend on how much of your life revolves around tech, I suppose. Maybe if that is the primary focus of your personal time, it would affect you more. But that isn't true for everyone
