August 12 is the next total solar eclipse!

Predictive Science builds large 3D magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) simulations, basically predicting the weather on the sun. This lets them predict magnetic field events that can affect earth and satellites. Every Eclipse since 1994 they have released interesting models to play around with! Total eclipses are a great chance to validate their models because you can see the corona with the naked eye!

/local-view for will show you exactly what the Eclipse will look like in your back yard. /summary has some cool science.
