My 8yo wanted to listen to news, so I made an experiment: have AI generate a news podcast episode every day where stories of any seriousness are unpacked and explained to kids. Includes topics like wars and politics, but avoids local crime.

No guarantees about the content, use your own judgement. Curious what people think about an idea like this.

Tech: research by GPT 5.6-Sol, clarity review loop with Kimi K3, audio by Gemini 3.1 Flash TTS. Hugo for static site, Cloudflare Pages + R2.
