The UN's food price index showed prices going down until global lockdown came along, and ever since then they have been rising. Lockdown seems to be the one factor that the media is reluctant to discuss. In the UK, it is common to attribute it to Brexit (which I didn't vote for by the way), even though it is happening across the world.
