Show HN: Thelemail, private email hosting for your own domain

I have built Thelemail, the motivation behind it is that I run a homelab and appreciate privacy and control over my data, after some issues and a poor support experience with a very well known privacy focused ESP, I decided that I finally needed to implement my idea.

Thelemail already has a very strong foundation for private email, OPAQUE password authentication (your password never reaches our servers) https://thelemail.com/security, a transparency log enrolled in the Witness Network staging list https://thelemail.com/keys, open source browser and macOS clients and more https://thelemail.com/open-source.

However there is an honest limitation, because of how email works, routing metadata is still not encrypted, the same applies to external email when the recipient has not published an OpenPGP key, but mailbox content stored on our servers is always encrypted at rest.

A permanent free thelemail.com mailbox is available with 1 GB of storage and no card required.
