I bought a monitor extender. No Linux support. I made a driver out of pure rage

A couple of days ago, I bought a "Powerology Dual Screen Portable Monitor". The seller's description said it supported Linux, so I didn't look more into it. Turns out, they are using a proprietary protocol, with no Linux support (they say so on their official website).

While it is one of the cheapest of its kind, to me, that was a lot of money. Out of pure rage, I (with the help of Claude), spent 8 hours making a driver for it, and it works. Here is the Github Repo (MIT Licensed). Learned a lot about how displays work in the process, and how to reverse engineer it.

The funny part? One monitor failed after a few hours (vertical green line), and I was able to return it, and got a one with proper DisplayLink support, so I don't need the driver anymore.

Well, hopefully someone can find use of it.

Ohh, and the old dock is sluggish (even on windows). So unless its the only one you can afford, I don't recommend it.
