A new preprint of Alexander Borisov, Ofer Gabber, and Adrian Vasiu has been making the rounds, amongst other things for the AI statement of the third author (on page 160 (!) ). In it, they raise questions about the inclusion of a previous version of this work in training data for frontier models, and how it might have led to the discovery of a counterexample to the Jacobian conjecture.
