hi guys, I spent about a year rebuilding iMessage in SwiftUI. I tried to come up with everything:

- collating the tails

- breathing typing dots

- Delivered fading into Read

- reactions

- photos

When I launched the package, it got 9 stars. This post is that story, including my guess as to why nobody wanted it. It ended up in production in three apps of mine. This week I renamed it Swift Chat, made it free, and tagged it 1.0. Happy to answer anything about the keyboard, which is probably the hardest part.
