We're potentially approaching an omelas moment with AI. Where a bright future may cost significant human lives (some say all of humanity). To put this into perspective, we analyzed human conflict for the G20 countries (via Wikipedia) and plotted the last 10 centuries of deaths - from revolution, war, famine, and pandemics. It's interactive. Comments welcome.
