I wondered if/when this would happen. I would have considered their vehicles more seriously had they not done this. To be fair, I do know some people say it wasn't a dealbreaker for them because you could still connect the phone over bluetooth, take phone calls, play music, and even send text messages with Siri.

Seems like the biggest loss is the integrated navigation, which would be important for me.

it would have been a dealbreaker for me. bought a 26 GMC and CarPlay integrates with the voice-assist button on the steering wheel as well as prevents you from doing unsafe stuff like browsing/sending texts. basically, pushes you to keep your eyes on the road
