Society, and medical science, doesn’t seem to accept the fact that it’s natural to lose sexual desire as we age. My general practitioner and urologist were somewhat taken aback that I didn’t want to take testosterone shots when my own tests came back as low. I’m pushing 50 and happy to be free of sexual desire. The side effects of such treatments are quite severe, from cancers to strokes. Why can’t we just age gracefully?

I have quite a few female friends that have taken testosterone later in life, and yes it gives them energy but they have also become aggressive to the point of physical violence. They often act like pubescent boys. They think it’s natural because their doctors push the treatments on them.
