When US claims to not need Canada, it really means USA needs countless other sources instead as demoed here. Not to forget that if USA purchases potash from another source, some other entity has to buy the potash from Canada but US has to pay more for the shipping. Bragging about it is even more hilarious. It is like admitting defeat.
