There are mainly 5 friction points I have experienced with the 3MF file format used for 3D printing:

    Slicers store their print settings in their own specific ways which locks in users in respective ecosystem.

    There are vulnerabilities with the 3mf file format, as listed in this article.

    3MF files are a bit clumsy to do simple inspections on. lets say i want to look up what "infill pattern" is configured. I either have to spin up a heavy slicer software to inspect it, but that experience doesnt come with full transparency. Alternatively I can rename the file extension to .zip and unzip it, then look through the individual subfiles with a text editor, which directly causes a messy download folder on my computer.

    sometimes i want to export STL files of individual meshes in the 3mf file.

    meshes can be non-manifold

So this website, preslice.co, tries to solve all those points. Use it to inspect and search the entire file content, look for security vulnerabilities, edit any part of the 3mf manually, convert all 3mf print settings (including color/plate/extruder/filament settings) between any of bambu studio<->prusaslicer<->orcaslicer<->creality slicer<->cura slicer, weld non-manifold meshes etc etc etc

It also has an git inspired change log, where you can inspect and revert changes you've made to the file.
