Show HN: Octri.dev – Generate customizable docs, 10 SDKs, and get an MCP server

https://octri.dev

Hi HN! Emad here, one of Octri's founders!

I think a lot of us had a similar experience as software engineers, we build API's with great features then comes the annoying part of maintaining Docs and SDKs (if any). That by itself is a lot of work without mentioning what happens if you had multiple SDKs and have to publish updates on all the different package managers!

I personally experienced that pain and was looking for solutions but most of them (if not all) are extremely expensive for an Indie, OSS, or even a startup and they actually aim for enterprise only where the big buck lives. So I decided to build all the tool that an API would need and make it available for everyone not only enterprises.

Today, I would like to present Octri.dev, a little orange octupus that takes your API spec and generates a fully customizable docs site, SDKs in 10 languages (TypeScript, Python, Dart, Rust, Swift, PHP, Ruby, Java, Kotlin, Go), and gives you an MCP server as well so agents can interact easily with your API.

I also added a new feature to the mix which is turned off by default and not included in your SDK unless you (the API owner) turn it on, it's the monitoring part that reports errors that happen for your SDK users back to you before they flood you with complaints and it pin points exactly where the issue happens. It's quite complicated to explain it in a short post so here's a page explaining it in detail: https://octri.dev/monitoring (Happy to answer any detailed questions you have regarding this below)

We also are offering a free-tier for our indie community + we have an OSS program that gives Business tier completely for free to help our great open-source community! More about the program here: https://octri.dev/open-source

We also have a free spec auditor (no sign up needed and it doesn't save your spec either): https://octri.dev/openapi-audit

Glad to have this finally out and would appreciate you guys going in and testing it out and sharing your feedback and questions below!

My email (if any needs it): emad@octri.dev
