This has very capitalism is everything I like and socialism is everything I don’t like vibes to it.

It’s good to resist excessive labeling, in which case, it FOSS isn’t at least someone disruptive to capitalism-maxxxing. What are we even doing here.

DHH commenting on Lunduke is like driving a dumpster truck from one landfill to another. It's ugly, it stinks, and nothing will change as a result.

In a decidedly post-UNIX world, I don't even know why this conversation would wind up on HN. It's not the 1990s anymore, Lunduke's ideology lost.

Isn't DHH pro-AI?

AI is fundamentally communist. It appropriates the property of individuals, claiming it to be for the good of the many.

You made this? I made this!

It's important that we don't concede FOSS to people screaming at either end (or the middle for that matter) of the political spectrum that their side is the best.

FOOS is fundamentally socialist/communist in the first place. Everyone can contribute, improve, fork, and otherwise modify the software. This kind of community participation and control is fundamentally communist at its foundation.

You want non-communistic software? That’s closed source, where a small group of oligarchs at the top control everything.
