Ask HN: Recommend Phones for Elderly?

1•Exoristos•42m ago
Many of us have elderly parents or grandparents whom we help with technology. In my case, my 80yo father has started struggling with cellphone use, e.g. finding apps and dealing with screen blanking. Can anyone recommend a model of cellphone, from a startup or otherwise, that you've found effectively meets the needs of elderly or disabled users?

Jitterbug flip phone for dumb phone, refurb iPhone of appropriate size and storage with MDM if you want to remotely manage. Put the phone on your mobile plan so you can monitor call history, with their permission, if needed (anti fraud and economic exploitation measure).
