I love finding new music, but I needed a better way to keep track of the albums and mixes I wanted to listen to. I also wanted to remember what I’d listened to and liked, and share my discoveries with friends.
So I started building https://digs.fm as my passion project. You can think of it as Goodreads for music. It’s mainly for people who enjoy listening to whole albums and want to keep track of what they discover.
You can save music releases to three lists: “Want to Listen”, “Listened” and “Dig” (those you loved), and see what your friends have discovered. You can also:
- Recommend releases to other users
- Add tags and notes to items in your lists
- Paste Spotify, Discogs or Bandcamp links to add releases, or share links directly to Digs (even easier with https://digs.fm/mobile_app)
- Quickly add releases to your lists while browsing other sites, via the browser extension (https://digs.fm/browser_extension)
I recently redesigned everything to improve usability, particularly on mobile. But also a lot of QoL improvements compared to the previous announcement post[1].
It's a hobby project I do on my free time, so there are rough edges (particularly around search), however I’d appreciate any feedback or suggestions!
